Back to the Garden, again

It’s time. I know because I’ve started receiving seed and plant catalogs. Yah, mon. It’s really true. Two feet of snow outside and the gardening planning for this year begins. I’m a nubie, yeah, but not so much as before. There is a smug feeling about knowing that this is where the (literal) underground gardening is going on and how certain gardeners seem to have a head start in the spring. It’s because they’ve been actually working since January (sooner?). My fam has already started helping carry crushed concrete back from the field to line this year’s proposed boundaries in my little gardens.

Everything in this life begins a long time before it can be seen and heard aloud.
